The Gang‑gang Cockatoo is one of south‑eastern Australia’s most distinctive and charismatic birds — small, stocky, slate‑grey, with that unmistakable wispy crest, and in males, a scarlet head that looks almost hand‑painted. It’s a species people instantly fall in love with, and it’s deeply tied to the alpine and sub‑alpine landscapes you work with every day.

Care Instructions
Although these guys are waterproof and UV resistant, they do suffer when poked with a sharp object. Aim to stick it somewhere where it’s not likely to rub with something sharp, like the end of a hiking pole.
